Your Weekly Tech Tidbits!

(Total read time: 5 minutes)
🚀Hiyo! It’s Saturday again my dudes and as promised we are back with your weekly summary of the Tech world🗞️ From Apple to Microsoft and even Koo we’ve got you covered. This newsletter will be sent to almost double the emails than the last one and we’re just honored that you guys love our effort to bring value every Saturday.
Well, we hope you had a great yoga session cuz we've got the hottest updates lined up just for you, so let's start!
Apple is spending ‘millions of dollars a day’ training AI💸
Apple is apparently training multiple AI models for different purposes and is spending a shit ton of money on training them. Although we don’t know the clear motives, some insiders say that a chatbot is in the works that would “interact with customers who use AppleCare” and another one would make it easier to automate multistep tasks with Siri.🤖
It’s clear that the world’s largest company is having FOMO from the entire generative AI wave and doesn't want to get left behind. Shout out to my boy Bard out there!
Koo seeks strategic partner amid funding crunch🐥
Y’all remember Koo right? That yellow bird app that was trying so hard to be a Twitter alternative? They even copied Twitter before it was cool. Well sad to hear that the platform is not performing well and may die soon.😔
In a desperate move to get funds for operations and scaling, Koo has announced that they’re looking for a strategic partner with a “distribution strength” as it enters its “next phase”. We know that it’s a very hard time for startups in India right now and especially if you’re in the social media space, there’s almost no space to grow🤷🏻♂️
Koo struggling to survive is a pure example of no room for any new social media/network startups. The social media market is gone and it'll be dominated by the existing ones (Meta and X) for the longest time.

France banned iPhone 12 because of Radiation concerns🗼
Apple’s iPhone 12 sales were banned in France earlier this week because it was emitting higher radiation levels permissible by the country. It’s a crazy time for Apple as one of it’s biggest markets, China also banned iPhones last week and now France is trying to ban iPhone 12s in their country.
Apple however responded fast and now saying that they’ll be fixing the radiation issue very soon with a software update by the way iPhone 15 has been launched for all those rich people reading this.
Microsoft Paint gets background remover🎨
Everyone has that memory of using Ms Paints to draw random shit in their school’s computer lab when they were a kid right? Well, MS Paint is now getting some crazy AI updates(of course Microsoft is going to do that), To name a few of the AI features, It will remove background for objects, Use OCR(Optical Character Recognition), and also features similar to Bing image generator!
